Alison, Richard and daughter Claire welcome you to this website which tells you all about our gîte - our French holiday home - located in the foothills of the beautiful Cévennes mountains. We hope that you will find here all the information you need about the gîte and the surrounding area to make it your holiday choice.

The Cévennes are one of France's best kept secrets. Known to relatively few French people as an unspoilt, mountainous region, with clear flowing rivers, steep walled terraces, stone buildings, sheep pastures, forests of evergreen oak, pine and chestnut ("the tree of life"), scattered with mulberry (whose leaves nourished the all but extinct silk worm), they are virtually undiscovered by visitors from outside France. Nevertheless many of those who have discovered the area return time and time again. The flora and fauna is a magnet for nature lovers. Walkers, cyclists and motor cyclists love the paths and quiet roads. The rivers offer good swimming, fishing and canoeing. At the same time our particular area offers easy access to the historic towns of Nimes and Montpellier, to the Camargue and the Mediterranean coast, and to some of the best wine producing areas of the up and coming Languedoc region especially Pic St Loup.
